During a business career of almost two decades, I have had the opportunity to learn from very talented people, in all types of business settings: how to guide, run, change, and grow a business. I have seen the things that work and the things that do not. This is where I draw my knowledge from and I would like the opportunity to apply that knowlede to your small and medium size businesses.

As a Charted Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA) I am trained to understand business fundamentals: the financial aspects of a successful enterprise, and how to track, record, and report this information. My professional success has resulted from operational understanding: getting beyond the numbers and into the revenue generating activities of the business. I have guided sales representatives of small businesses, been responsible for regional activities for large publicly traded organizations, and I have set up and administered businesses of various sizes in between.

I am an entrepreneur, probably just like you. My first start-up was a small entertainment and tour business in Calgary and since then I have gone to start-up or help to build, either independently or with a team, I.T., energy, and construction companies, wineries, and online apps. Within large organizations, I have helped to take Canadian businesses international (Spain, Mexico and Peru), and as a consultant and contract CFO I have provided business development guidance and services to plumbers, accountants, transport companies as well as my fellow consultants.

My unique blend of experience with private and public businesses, from start-ups to established corporations gives me the skills you need to assist you with your business. I enjoy working on business ideas: creating a small business or taking a growing one to the next level is the best part of the journey.
